Gavin is a senior education leader with over 30 years’ experience across specialist, mainstream, and alternative provision. As Headteacher of a specialist school, he has driven sustained improvement, strengthened safeguarding and therapeutic practice, and embedded a values-led culture of high expectations and inclusion.
He brings deep knowledge of the SEND landscape, spanning curriculum design, trauma-informed practice, organisational strategy, and workforce development. His leadership is characterised by evidence-informed decision-making, strong governance, and a relational, collaborative approach that prioritises student outcomes and wellbeing.
Passionate about inclusive education, Gavin is committed to removing barriers for vulnerable learners and securing high-quality provision for children and young people with additional needs. His contribution to education and social impact has been recognised through his Fellowship of the RSA
