Meet Kathy – Strategic thinker with extensive financial, operational and governance experience
Kathy had a lifelong career with global professional services firm PwC, with her final role as Operations Director (Risk).
She joined PwC in London straight from university and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the Audit practice. After moving to North Yorkshire and having three daughters, Kathy transitioned into an operational role within PwC. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and served as a Trustee Director of the PwC Pension Fund for eight years, gaining valuable experience in governance and investment oversight.
With over 20 years’ experience in operational leadership — spanning finance, budgeting, planning, governance, HR and risk — Kathy brings a deep understanding of the challenges faced by complex organisations.
Kathy now focuses on giving back through local volunteering and charity governance. She is a board member of the Two Ridings Community Foundation and The North of England Horticultural Society, and volunteers regularly with Resurrected Bites and the National Trust. Kathy is also Co-Event Director at Fountains Abbey parkrun, one of the most iconic parkrun locations in the UK.
In her spare time, Kathy enjoys running, walking her black Labrador, and travelling widely with her husband, Mark.
