Meet Paul: A Strategic SEND Leader with a track record of transformation, innovation and inclusive education
Paul brings extensive leadership experience across special education settings in England and Wales. Before joining Henshaws, he was Headteacher of one of Birmingham’s largest special schools and previously served as the founding CEO of a Multi Academy Trust in Norfolk.
Throughout his career, Paul has specialised in leading schools through rapid improvement programmes and has been at the forefront of innovative educational practice. He has held executive roles on national and regional committees that have contributed to shaping policy for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Paul has led a wide range of specialist provision, including day and residential settings for children and young people with Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, Physical Disabilities, and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. He is also recognised for developing future leaders, many of whom now hold senior roles both in the UK and internationally.
