Peter has worked full-time for over 40 years, initially as a mechanical engineer and then as a senior leader across a variety of manufacturing and engineering businesses, always with a passion to make a difference, delivering transformational growth journeys within these businesses. In parallel, over the last 10 years, Peter has provided consultancy in strategic marketing and executive leadership development, working with people in multiple sectors – he is also active in higher education with the University of Manchester and within the Manchester start-up ecosystem with a particular interest in technology start-ups and social enterprises. Peter was appointed to Henshaws’ Board of Trustees in 2024, having been a trustee with a small charity in North Manchester prior to this. Outside of work, Peter loves the outdoors, including mountain walking, trekking and mountain biking, along with his other passions for theatre, reading and travel.
