Loss of Central Vision

Loss of Central Vision

What is it?

The loss of central vision reduces a person’s ability to see things they are directly looking at. The central viewing part of the retina is called the macula, it sees detail and colour. When this part of the eye degenerates or is damaged the person will lose central vision, detail and colour perception.
