Loss of Peripheral Vision

Loss of Peripheral Vision

What is it?

The loss of peripheral vision results in a narrow field of view. The edges of the image disappear, leaving only central vision. This is often referred to as tunnel vision. This can initially reduce the person’s ability to see in low light. The loss of peripheral vision, can result in a person not seeing objects and structures, thus causing trips and bumps.
