Find VI-Friendly Places in Greater Manchester

At Henshaws, we believe everyone should be able to explore, connect, and enjoy their community without barriers.

That’s why we created the VI Friendly Guide, a free and growing online resource funded by Fight for Sight to help visually impaired people find accessible businesses, services, and community groups across Greater Manchester. Whether you’re looking for a café with accessible menus, an inclusive gym, or a welcoming social group, the guide makes it easier to find places that actively support the VI community.

We also work closely with businesses through our Visual Impairment Awareness Training, helping them adapt their spaces so that more venues across Greater Manchester become truly VI-friendly.

How to Use the Guide

Find VI-friendly places easily using our two search filters:

Location – Search by area to find accessible services near you.

Activity – Explore categories like dining, fitness, culture, and social groups.

We are constantly adding more businesses. If you know a great place or want to get involved, let us know.

Let’s make Greater Manchester more accessible for everyone.
