Bolton Macular Society Support Group

The Bolton macular support group offers a supportive environment for individuals affected by macular disease. We aim to provide practical advice, emotional support, and a sense of community to all members. Our commitment lies in enhancing the quality of life for those living with visual impairments.

When & Where:

Location:

The Bolton Hub, Bold Street, Bolton, BL1 1LS

Date/Time:

Second Friday of each month (except July, August, and December), from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

What to expect:

Our meetings convene at The Bolton Hub, a centrally located and accessible venue for all attendees. Each session addresses various challenges faced by individuals with macular disease. Discussions often cover topics such as navigating daily activities, exploring assistive technologies, and staying updated on medical advancements. Furthermore, guest speakers, including healthcare professionals, frequently join our meetings to share their expertise and answer questions. This approach ensures that members receive accurate and up-to-date information.

In addition to informative sessions, we place a strong emphasis on social interaction. Members have the opportunity to share their experiences, discuss coping strategies, and build meaningful connections. Recognising the vital role they play in the support system, family members and carers are also encouraged to attend. The Bolton macular support group strives to create an inclusive community where everyone feels valued and understood.
