Community Activities and Support for Over 50s – NEPHRA Good Neighbours

NEPHRA Good Neighbours is a welcoming community group offering a wide range of activities, classes and support services for local residents. The team helps people stay connected and enjoy a sense of belonging through both indoor and outdoor activities.

When & Where:

Activities run throughout the week at the NEPHRA Good Neighbours Centre.

Address: 27 Parkfield Road North, New Moston, Manchester, M40 3TB.

They have an additional space at the Community Garden on Northfield Road.

The centre hosts a varied timetable of classes and events, while the garden offers opportunities to learn about community allotments, food growing and to join the popular Gardening Club.

Who is eligible?

The group mainly supports residents aged 50 and over, providing a friendly and inclusive environment where everyone can meet new people, try new things and feel part of the community.

What to expect:

Expect a warm welcome from a caring team dedicated to supporting local residents’ wellbeing. The weekly timetable includes social activities and educational classes that provide a safe space for our everyone to socialise, learn new skills and give a sense of purpose to their day. NEPHRA also offers a befriending scheme, meals-on-wheels service and handyman support to help people remain active and independent at home.
