Experience the joy of cycling with our inclusive sessions tailored for individuals with visual impairments and other disabilities. Our weekly one-hour sessions take place in traffic-free areas, where trained instructors assist you in finding the right cycle. Once confident, you can even loan a cycle for free.
When & Where:
- Tuesdays: 10:00 am–1:00 pm at University of Salford, New Adelphi Building
- Wednesdays: 10:30 am–1:00 pm at Hyde Park, Hyde
Who is Eligible?
Individuals aged 16 and over who identify as disabled, have long-term physical or mental health conditions, sensory impairments, or other conditions. We adopt a case-by-case approach and work with individuals who may not identify as disabled. For more information, please contact [email protected].

Cycles Available:
We offer a diverse range of cycles to accommodate various needs and preferences, including:
- Tricycles: Provide enhanced stability, ideal for those new to cycling or with balance concerns.
- Recumbent Tricycles: Feature a reclined seating position for reduced strain on the back and joints.
- Handcycles: Operated by hand cranks, suitable for individuals with lower limb impairments.
- Standard Two-Wheelers: Bicycles with low step-through frames for easy mounting and dismounting.

Additionally, we provide adaptations to support individuals with reduced joint mobility and one-sided weaknesses.
All our cycles are electric-assisted, offering extra power when needed, but can also be ridden manually.
