If you’re looking for friendly company and connection in Salford, the Eye Eye social group is a great place to start. Run by Henshaws, this weekly group brings together people living with sight loss in a warm, welcoming environment.
Whether you’ve recently experienced changes in your vision or lived with sight loss for years, you’ll find a supportive space here. The group gives you a chance to talk, listen and share with others who understand your experience.
When & Where:
We meet every Wednesday from 11:30am to 1:45pm at Wardley Community Centre, 30 Ash Drive, Swinton, Salford, M27 9RS. The venue is fully accessible and easy to reach by public transport.
Who is eligible?
Adults living with sight loss in Salford and surrounding areas are welcome to attend. You don’t need to be registered blind or partially sighted. If your vision affects your daily life, you’re very welcome to join us. Carers, family members and companions are also encouraged to come along.
What to expect:
Each session offers time to chat, unwind and enjoy friendly conversation in good company. Some weeks we may include light activities, themed discussions or visits from local guests, while others focus simply on creating a welcoming space to connect. You can take part in whatever way feels right for you.
Over time, many attendees build strong friendships and say that being part of the group has helped boost their confidence and wellbeing. It’s a safe and social place to feel included, heard and supported.
Booking Required:
We ask that everyone books in advance, as this helps us prepare the space and ensure everyone receives the right support. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate drop-ins.
