Music Fun Afternoon

The Music Fun Afternoon is a weekly music session designed for people who enjoy sound, rhythm, and social connection. Whether you like to sing, clap along, or simply listen, the Music Fun Afternoon offers a lively, inclusive space to enjoy music together.

When & Where

Every Monday (except the fourth Monday of the month), 1:30pm to 2:30pm
Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People, 6–8 Trafford Street, Bury, BL9 0TY

Who is eligible?

This group is open to anyone living with sight loss or other access needs. You don’t need any musical experience, just an interest in taking part. Carers are welcome too.

What to expect

The session includes live or recorded music, sing-alongs, and opportunities to try simple instruments. Activities vary each week, but the focus remains on participation and enjoyment. Volunteers help to make the space friendly and supportive, and everyone is encouraged to join in however they feel comfortable.

The Music Fun Afternoon is fully accessible. Seating is available, and the pace is relaxed. If you need assistance, staff and volunteers are always nearby to help.

This group is also a great way to build confidence and meet others in a safe, creative environment. Many participants attend regularly and describe it as a highlight of their week.
