Sober Socials – Monthly LGBTQ+ Alcohol-Free Events

Sober socials are monthly alcohol-free events hosted by the LGBT Foundation. Created for LGBTQ+ people who prefer social spaces without drinking, these gatherings offer a relaxed, welcoming environment to meet new friends, enjoy fun activities and feel part of a supportive community.

When & Where

The last Friday of every month at 6pm
LGBT Foundation, 72 Sackville Street, Manchester, M1 3NJ
The venue is wheelchair accessible with step-free access and accessible toilets.

Who is eligible?

Everyone in the LGBTQ+ community is welcome. Whether you’re alcohol-free, in recovery, or just looking for a different kind of night out, you’ll find a friendly and inclusive space. You don’t need any experience—just come as you are.

What to expect

Each month’s sober social brings something a little different. You might find games, crafts, music or relaxed group chats. Above all, these evenings are about connection, enjoyment and feeling safe to be yourself. You’ll have the chance to meet new people, take part in light-hearted activities and share positive energy in a supportive space.

Booking Required

You don’t need to book in advance—just drop in on the night. However, if you’re new and want to know more before attending, feel free to get in touch.
