The Tech Support Clinic Bury offers friendly, personalised technology support for people with sight loss. Whether you’re learning the basics or trying to solve a specific issue, this clinic gives you the chance to explore technology in a supportive, one-to-one setting.
When & Where
Fortnightly on Fridays, 9:15am to 4:00pm
Bury Society for Blind and Partially Sighted People, 6–8 Trafford Street, Bury, BL9 0TY
Delivered in partnership with Henshaws.
Who is eligible?
Anyone with sight loss who would benefit from individual tech support can attend. No prior experience is necessary. Carers or companions can come along if needed.
What to expect
You’ll sit down with an advisor from Henshaws to focus on the technology that matters most to you. This could include learning to use a smartphone, setting up accessibility features, trying screen readers, or exploring helpful apps.
Because sessions are one-to-one, you can take your time and focus on your own goals. The advisor will guide you through each step, helping you build confidence and practical skills. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding and tools you can apply in everyday life.
The Tech Support Clinic Bury is designed to be flexible, accessible, and empowering. Staff and volunteers are available throughout the day to offer support and make sure you feel comfortable.
