Who is eligible?

Anyone aged 12 and over with a visual impairment is welcome.
Our sessions are inclusive of all genders and sight levels.
Carers, family members, and support workers are also welcome to attend and participate.

What to expect:

Come and join our friendly and inclusive sports club! Lancashire Lions has been providing opportunities for blind and partially sighted people to get active and socialise in Manchester for over 12 years.

With over 30 regular members, we offer a range of sports including bowling, baseball, cricket, and goalball. Our bowling sessions are perfect for those who want to enjoy a lively yet supportive group activity, with no pressure to compete, just turn up and have fun.

Whether you’re a seasoned bowler or trying it for the first time, our sessions cater to everyone. We provide guidance, lane assistance, and adapted equipment including bowling rails and verbal support. It’s a great chance to share experiences, build confidence, and make new friends in a safe and welcoming environment.

These evenings are all about enjoyment, connection, and community. We know everyone’s experience is different, and we’ll do our best to make sure you feel comfortable and included.
