Wellbeing walks are a monthly LGBTQ+ walking group designed to support both mental and physical wellbeing through time outdoors. These relaxed, friendly walks offer a chance to connect with others, enjoy nature and take a mindful break from everyday stress.
When & Where
The group meets every second Wednesday of the month.
Starting point: LGBT Foundation, 72 Sackville Street, Manchester, M1 3NJ
Although walk locations vary, the group always travels together from the Foundation. Wherever possible, we ensure accessible travel options are in place.
Who is eligible?
Anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+ is welcome to join. You don’t need to be highly active or experienced. Instead, the focus is on walking at a gentle pace and enjoying the experience. Whether you’re coming alone or with a friend, you’ll be warmly welcomed.
What to expect
You’ll meet at the LGBT Foundation and head out as a group to that month’s walking route. Expect calm surroundings, good conversation and a warm, inclusive atmosphere. These wellbeing walks are a chance to slow down, get fresh air and feel uplifted alongside others in the community. Whether you’re new or returning, you’ll be made to feel welcome.
Booking Required
Booking is encouraged so we can plan travel and any accessibility needs. To book or ask questions, visit the LGBT Foundation website or call the helpline.
