Carols by Candlelight volunteer

Manchester Cathedral

Closing date: Monday, 3rd Dec 2018

We're looking for volunteers for our annual carol concert on Thursday 6th December at Manchester Cathedral.

“Hanging around with people who don’t have a visual impairment can sometimes be difficult. Through Henshaws, I’ve met other people like me who understand what I mean when I talk about my experiences of living with sight loss.”

Every year, we hold our Carols by Candlelight concert; a warm festive evening of Christmas spirit in the beautiful venue of Manchester Cathedral. The evening includes music from a selection of wonderful local choirs and sing along with some of your favourite Christmas carols, as well as a mince pie and mulled wine during the interval.

This year our event is raising funds for Henshaws Children & Families Service, which specialise in working with children and parents with sight loss, often with complex needs and additional disabilities, and we are seeking volunteers to generously support the running of our event.

The concert runs on Thursday 6th December and volunteers will be needed from 6.30pm until around 9.45pm. There are various roles available including helping to set up, serve drinks/mince pies in the interval and helping to pack away. Snacks will be provided and we will cover your travel expenses.

We would greatly appreciate your support with this event – please message Shona on 0300 222 5555 or email shona.boyle@henshaws.org.uk if you are happy to come along and volunteer.
