Great for… Meeting new people, learning new skills, adding to CV’s, supporting study, enjoyment and entertainment
You’ll be helping to run social groups for people with visual impairments who enjoy a range of activities, including hiking, theatre & museum trips, socialising, technology and tea & coffee sessions and arts & crafts.
You’ll learn how to arrange visits, assist people with visual impairments to attend sessions, book venues, administer money & run a budget, create risk assessments and deal with emergency situations.

We’ll work with you to feel comfortable supporting people with visual impairments via our immersive training. Alongside this, we’ll help you prepare risk assessments and deal with difficult situations. Occasionally, we’ll also support you to report on your group’s sessions and produce budgetary reports and predictions.
