The local area
We are surrounded by beautiful North Yorkshire countryside on the outskirts of Harrogate, with local shops and community facilities nearby. You will have access to bespoke facilities right here on campus. Designed to offer you a safe and accessible environment where you can develop transferable skills for independence and employability.
Spaces to learn, create and explore
Our campus is packed with features to make our students’ time at college fun, fulfilling and safe. You can take a look at our college map to get a clearer idea of the layout of our site. Or for a more detailed overview you may want to explore our virtual tour.
Develop your skills for independent living with the help of our specialist equipment including talking microwaves and rise and fall workstations. You can prepare meals, become a star baker, and learn all about healthy eating and nutrition.
Mobility training area
Practice travelling safely with the support of our vision support team. We have our own pelican crossing, bus stop and tactile training area on campus to help you become a more confident traveller. Learn the routes to community facilities including shops, the library and train station.
Our sensory room provides a quiet space for students to explore. The room features soft lighting and comfortable furnishings as well as a fantastic interactive floor that students can engage with. If you prefer getting out and about, we also have our sensory garden.
The braille room on campus enables us to produce materials for our visually impaired students. It’s just one of the many communication tools used by our Integrated Therapy Service to help our students understand and make their voices heard.
The Potting Shed
The potting shed is where our horticulture sessions take place. Students love growing fruits, vegetables and other plants. They also enjoy testing the results themselves and selling them around campus as part of their enterprise sessions.
