Assemblies in schools

Henshaws offer unique and interactive workshop sessions in schools. All about visual impairments; these sessions are specifically tailored to fit into the curriculum for groups of different sizes and ages.

What can we offer you?

Henshaws offer assemblies  in schools, all about visual impairments. Discover the difficulties someone would face learning at school with a visual impairment.

Our interactive and educational assemblies are perfect to introduce children to eye health and visual impairment awareness, and are available for any child aged 5-16. These are customised to different age ranges.

Where is this available?

We work across Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool and Yorkshire, and we’re more than happy to visit schools in these areas – we come to you! Other areas can be considered also, please message our fundraising team on 0161 786 3656 to discuss in more detail.

Alternatively, you can come visit our Arts & Crafts Centre in Knaresborough. Equipped with a cafe, a large garden, and plenty of activities – our Arts & Crafts Centre makes for a perfect school trip.

Could you spare a few hours to deliver interactive workshops in primary schools and various children’s groups across Oldham? We're supporting Eye Heroes to educate children and communities about eye health, the benefits of eye tests and prevention of avoidable blindness, but we need your help to reach as many people as possible.
