Help our Horticulture Workshop Grow with Tesco’s Stronger Starts

Henshaws invites your active support in securing funding through the Tesco Stronger Starts scheme. This initiative sustains our impactful Arts and Crafts workshops for individuals with visual impairments and disabilities in the community.

Tesco Stronger Starts grants, up to £1,500, focus on projects benefiting children and young people. Each community shortlists three groups, allowing Tesco patrons to participate by voting at their local store.

Henshaws contends in North Yorkshire, seeking funds for the popular Horticulture workshop. This pillar of well-being and skill development empowers Art Makers to cultivate plants, herbs, and vegetables. Produce is sold at the centre and used in the café.

Workshops provide a sense of achievement and invaluable life skills, crucial for users finding solace in gardening. The absence could impact their mental well-being.

Funding aids operational costs for the horticulture workshop, covering essential materials like seeds and plant pots, creating an enriching learning environment.

Flora Simpson, Senior Fundraiser, extends gratitude to those considering votes for Henshaws at Tesco. The Arts and Crafts Centre is a haven, and with Tesco Stronger Starts support, we continue nurturing talents.

Tesco’s Stronger Starts contributed over £110 million to 60,000 projects. Funding benefits community groups and charities supporting local projects for community well-being.

Voting is open until March’s end in specific stores, Cast your vote using a blue token received at checkout.
