Henshaws is a northern charity supporting people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to go beyond expectations.
We believe that, wherever they are, everyone has the right to an independent and fulfilling life. Our support, advice and training enables people and their families to build skills, develop confidence, help each other and look forward to a more positive future.
Our College offers specialist further education for students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
Our social enterprise provides vocational training for people with disabilities, and events and showcases for visitors.
We work with visually impaired people of all ages, offering a bespoke package of support, activities and training.
We provide local housing and support people to live more independently in their own homes.
We offer a range of services to help your business, including a qualification in Visual Impairment Awareness Training.
Our outreach services including therapies and rehabilitation can help you develop your mobility, independent living and communication skills.
