Give the Gift of Adventure – Transform Lives This Christmas!

On Wednesday the 17th April 2024, Henshaws hosted its first Spring Charity Golf Day at Rudding Park. Traditionally an annual Autumn fixture, Henshaws were pleased to add a second event to its colourful calendar of events!
As the sun rose over the green on a chilly Spring morning, Henshaws set up to welcome its 52 players for a day of play. After weeks of rain, the sun made a magnificent appearance for the 12 teams who took part, raising over £6,500! Much needed money, which will help us to support people living with sight loss and other disabilities to go beyond expectations.
As the breakfast sandwiches and coffees were enjoyed in the Rudding Park Clubhouse, teams started to arrive, having travelled from all over the North of England. The teams took on the short Repton course before moving on to the full Hawtree course. As the players came off the 18th hole, we wrapped up the day with a delicious BBQ – the first one of the year for the chefs!
Mastercard/Vocalink won the 2024 Henshaws Spring Golf Day team prize and Paul Marshall from HSBC took home the title of Best Player. Our Longest Drive was awarded to Maclain Simpson (SBFM) and Nearest the Pin went to Mark Proudlove, playing with Saffery Champness.
