Henshaws Beer Festival 2023

We want to thank everyone who attended this year’s Beer Festival. The weekend helped us raise over £27,0000 to support people living with sight loss and other disabilities. The weather was a little mixed, but over the two nights and three days we welcomed over 850 people to the beautiful and unique setting that is our Arts and Crafts Centre in Knaresborough. We were able to offer a range of handpicked beers, ciders, wines, gins and non-alcoholic goodness, all proudly produced here in Yorkshire.

Local breweries Cold Bath Brewing, Daleside, Harrogate Brewing, Roosters and Turning Point joined forces once more to help cement this fantastic annual event, which included an eclectic live music mix of bands and DJ’s performing across two stages. Pop up vendors tempted taste buds, serving a wonderful selection of freshly cooked food from Mexican to Italian and lots in between. With hook a duck, glitter tattoos, hair braiding and locally produced ice cream bringing a sprinkling of magic on site. There really was fun for kids of all ages.

The event was made possible by the superb range of sponsors and partners who supported us in so many ways, from feeding our volunteers to providing us with a brand-new performance marquee. We owe so much to each and every one of them, particularly our lead event sponsor, 4Life Wealth Management.

As a small fundraising team we rely heavily on our fantastic volunteers who do everything from serving drinks to collecting the rubbish. We could not deliver the event that we do without their dedication and support. They really do underpin the whole experience.

The weekend, though Beer Festival by name, is so much more than that. It is an opportunity for our Art Makers and staff to open up the doors to their Centre and share their talents, personalities and warmth with those at the heart of their local community. This means more to our Henshaws family than you might imagine. So once again, thank you for coming. For eating and drinking with us. For buying those raffle tickets, hooking those ducks and for making those donations.
