Henshaws Specialist College to star in new Harrogate MONOPOLY game!
Henshaws Specialist College land on a green coloured space in this official edition of Harrogate MONOPOLY, which was recently launched at The Majestic Hotel – soon to become The DoubleTree By Hilton Harrogate Hotel and Spa. Kate Simpson, Community and Events Fundraiser attended the event on behalf of Henshaws.
The much-anticipated Harrogate MONOPOLY game hit the shops last week. And .. drum roll .. Henshaws Specialist College gets to star in it!
Amongst the very many leading Harrogate landmarks that get to feature in the game are The Majestic, Bettys and Turkish Baths Harrogate.
“The game features the very great and the very good of Harrogate,” says Benjamin Thompson from MONOPOLY: Harrogate Edition makers Winning Moves UK.
Kate Simpson, Henshaws Community and Events Fundraiser attended the event with Kelly Colton from the College care team. As well as meeting Mr Monopoly himself, Kate was presented with a copy of the board by Jason Bunn, the UK’s only ever world MONOPOLY champ who hails from Leeds.
Kate said: “Our College students will get a great deal of fun out of trying to buy Henshaws!”
In this brand new unique version of MONOPOLY whilst the rules, money denomination, playing tokens and above all the spirit of MONOPOLY stay the same .. the spaces all become Harrogate landmarks and favourites!
And very many of the Chance and Community Chest cards are customised too. One such card fines players for being late (heaven forbid) for a lunch date in town!
Winning Moves UK are the makers of this version under official license from MONOPOLY owners, Hasbro.
The game is on sale now at all good book and toy stores, including Waterstones, WH Smith and The Works – and very widely online, including on Amazon.
