Sarah B’s Story

Sarah has been coming to the Arts and Crafts Centre for a few years now, since she graduated from Evolve College in Ripon.

Sarah comes three days a week and packs a lot into the time she spends here.

Taking part in pottery, woodwork, music, print and mosaic. She is a truly uplifting spirit in the Henshaws family and her friendly smile never fails to brighten people day.

Sarah says ‘Henshaws makes me feel good, I like sitting with my friends at break-times. Woodwork is my favourite  workshop, I always make bird boxes. In print I like using the press, in pottery I like to make bowls and singing in music with Adam.’

Sarah is a delight. She is always prompt, always enthusiastic and always keeps herself busy. She likes to photograph her work, both to document it and send pictures to her family and friends. Sarah always remembers what she has made, even projects from months ago. She is very social and a wonderful addition to our group.

Sarahs life is as busy outside of Henshaws as it is here. She walks and goes tandem biking with open country, and has even turned her hand to some water sports on the river Nidd!

Well done Sarah
