Sir Warren Smith

Meet Sir Warren Smith: A Retired Businessman and former Lord Lieutenant with a Passion for Charity

Sir Warren became a justice of the peace in 1983, was made a Deputy Lieutenant in 1995, served as High Sheriff in 1997/1998 and was Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester between 2007 and 2022. He was knighted in the New Year’s Honours List in 2022 and has been associated with Henshaws for more 16 years. Sir Warren loves his garden, which has occasionally doubled as his office and meeting place during fine weather and lockdowns, and is shared with his beloved Norfolk Terriers.
